It’s been a whirlwind of petals and creativity at Flower HQ as we dove headfirst into wedding season, enjoyed the school holidays, and hosted a couple of bespoke living flower workshops at our brand-new studio. We’ve had our heads down, quite literally, arranging blooms and crafting the most beautiful floral creations for our wonderful clients.
A Day of Blooms: Hat Box Workshop
The sun was shining brightly as we kicked off our summer workshops with a delightful one-on-one Hat Box Workshop in the morning. Our participants were eager to get their hands on some beautiful blooms and learn the art of creating stunning floral arrangements. With our expert guidance, they were soon immersed in the world of flowers, creating exquisite hat box arrangements that would make any occasion special.
Floristry Wire Master Class: Unleashing Creativity
In the afternoon, we transitioned seamlessly into our Floristry Wire Master Class, where our talented ladies delved into the intricate world of floristry wire. It was a day filled with creativity, camaraderie, and of course, flowers.
One of the highlights of the master class was the exploration of flower buttonholes. Our participants learned the art of creating beautiful wedding buttonholes, both modern and traditional. These small but significant floral accents play a crucial role in weddings, and our attendees left with the skills to make them truly special.
Corsages were also on the agenda. We showcased how to design both classic and contemporary corsages that can grace the lapels and wrists of wedding guests. These delicate floral accessories added a touch of elegance and personality to any outfit.
For those who dreamt of a bohemian, flower-adorned wedding, our master class didn’t disappoint. We taught our attendees how to create mesmerising hair circlets, perfect for brides or bridesmaids looking for that extra touch of natural beauty.
And, of course, we couldn’t forget the Bridal Bouquet. We walked our participants through the process of designing a bouquet that exuded an open and flowing, yet relaxed and natural feel. It’s that perfect balance that makes a bridal bouquet truly unforgettable.
A Taste of Summer
We believe that creativity flourishes when our spirits are high and our energy is nourished. To ensure everyone had a fabulous, relaxed summer’s day, we treated our attendees to a selection of homemade sandwiches, delectable cakes, and refreshing fruit Pimms (the weak ones, mind you!). The day was filled with laughter, shared stories, and, of course, the joy of creating something beautiful with our hands.
At Flower HQ, we are truly passionate about what we do. Helping others discover the art of floristry and witnessing their creativity bloom brings us immense joy. We’re so grateful for the opportunity to share our love for flowers and design with each and every one of you.
