‘Tis the season to be jolly, and in the quaint village of Shearsby, Leicestershire, the festive cheer reached new heights at Flowers by Stephanie’s Christmas Wreath workshops. Held at our new studio, these workshops, spanning the from the end of November and beginning of December 2023 (to make the most of festive doors this season and in the run up to Christmas 2023), turned into a floral extravaganza that not only adorned local homes but also made a special appearance at none other than Number 10 Downing Street.
A Festive Wonderland in Shearsby
The success of these workshops was evident in the overwhelming response from customers. Over 100 participants, ranging from seasoned wreath makers, people making wreath making a tradition, to enthusiastic beginners, gathered at the new Flowers by Stephanie studio to unleash their creativity and craft their own unique Christmas wreath. The studio, adorned with festive decorations and the delightful aroma of fresh greenery, provided the perfect backdrop for this seasonal celebration.
Downing Street’s Dazzling Addition
What truly sets Flowers by Stephanie apart is Stephanie’s commitment to excellence, and this was recognised when Stephanie’s Christmas Wreath 2023 masterpiece earned a coveted spot at the heart of British politics. Winning a prestigious competition, Stephanie’s seasonal wreath now graces the door of Number 10 Downing Street, an honour that reflects the skill and artistry poured into every Floristry creation.
Wreath-Making Beyond Shearsby
The festive spirit extended beyond the studio’s walls, with Stephanie taking the 2023 wreath-making experience to usual and new locations. Two on-location workshop(s) took place—one at the local Hercules Revived Pub in Sutton Cheney and another at a Solicitor’s office in Leicester. These off-site events not only brought the joy of wreath making to different people onsite but also showcased the versatility of Flowers by Stephanie in creating memorable experiences anywhere and of course, more Wreaths for customer festive front doors!
Seasonal Refreshments and Melodies
The attention to detail was not limited to own wreath design alone. Participants were treated to delectable seasonal refreshments, all homemade by Stephanie’s talented Mother. The aroma of freshly baked treats and the warmth of hot beverages (mulled wine, coffee and Hot Chocolate) added an extra layer of coziness to the workshops. To further enhance the festive atmosphere, Christmas songs filled the air, creating a harmonious backdrop as hands worked diligently to create stunning wreaths (just take a look at our lovely pictures below!).
Blooms and Bonds
Beyond the wreaths, refreshments and decorations, what made these workshops truly special was the sense of community they fostered. Participants came together to share stories, expertise, tradition, and the joy of creating something beautiful with their own hands.
As the wreaths crafted in Shearsby find their way onto customer doors throughout Leicestershire, the success of Flowers by Stephanie’s Christmas Wreath workshops is not just measured in beautifully crafted decorations but in the smiles, memories made, and festive spirit. Stephanie’s dedication to her craft has undoubtedly turned this Christmas tradition into an annual highlight that brings joy and creativity to all who participate.
