When Clare (affectionately known as Claris) and Jon tied the knot in their home garden, it was nothing short of a family affair – and who better to bring their floral dreams to life than our very own Stephanie from Flowers by Stephanie in Shearsby, Leicestershire? From an early morning makeup session to dancing under pole chandeliers and a drinks bar made from cow feeders, this wedding was as unique as it was beautiful!

From Young Farmers to Wedding Planning

Stephanie first crossed paths with Clare through Young Farmers, where their shared love for the countryside and all things green blossomed into a beautiful friendship. Stephanie knew Jon even earlier, having competed against him in local village flower competitions. Little did they know, those friendly rivalries and study sessions at Brooksby College would one day culminate in friendship and Stephanie creating the floral arrangements for their wedding.

A Family Affair with Handmade Touches

This wedding was a testament to the power of community and family. Clare’s bridesmaids, including Stephanie’s sister, poured their hearts into handmade decorations, place settings, and table decor. Even the Wedding Drinks Bar was ingeniously crafted from cow feeders, proving that rustic charm can indeed go hand in hand with elegance.

Flowers that Tell a Story

Stephanie’s dedication shone through every petal and bloom. She chose a vibrant palette of hot pink garden roses, purple clematis, and hot pink piano spray roses, complemented by beautiful scented seasonal stocks and purple thriller roses. The aubergine and lilac scabious added a touch of whimsy, while blue agapanthus and two-tone delphiniums brought in shades of the sky. The bouquets, filled with sweet peas, cornflowers, and local foliage from the bride’s cousin, were nothing short of a floral symphony.

Glamour and Early Mornings

Stephanie’s commitment to perfection is legendary. On the wedding day, she was up at 4 AM, applying makeup and lashes (before installed the flower displays and decor) to ensure she looked as glamorous as the flowers she arranged. And let’s not forget that fabulous green hat – because as Stephanie says, “Go big or go home!” Doesn’t she scrub up well!

A Quiet, Touching Moment

In the midst of the celebrations, there was a beautiful, quiet moment that stood out. Stephanie, ever the dedicated florist, was filming her gorgeous flower arrangements for social media content and at the top table, Clare’s dad sat alone, softly rehearsing his speech. It was a touching scene – an emotional and serene family moment of peace amidst the hustle and bustle. This brief interlude captured the essence of the day: love, family, and the delicate beauty of life’s fleeting moments.

Local Love and Family Fun

This wedding was a celebration of local talent and family love. Stephanie’s mum handled the catering, delighting guests with homemade treats, while local supplier John Deere Farol’s of Hinckley provided their brand new tractor stock for transporting guests. It was a charming touch that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

Dancing the Night Away

As the sun set over the garden, the couple shared their first dance to “Shut Up and Dance,” surrounded by friends, family, and of course, Stephanie’s breathtaking floral pole chandeliers. It was a night of laughter, love, and dance moves that would make anyone’s heart sing.

A Floral Fairy Tale Come True

Stephanie’s hard work, creativity, and unwavering dedication turned Clare and Jon’s wedding into a magical day that will be remembered for years to come. Every flower told a story, every decoration was made with love, and every moment was infused with joy.

Here’s to Stephanie for creating such enchanting memories, and to Clare and Jon for letting us be a part of their beautiful journey. If you’re planning your own special day, remember that Flowers by Stephanie will bring your floral dreams to life with a touch of magic and a whole lot of heart. Cheers to love, laughter, and happily ever after!
