At Flowers by Stephanie, we recently had the pleasure of hosting a fun and creative (5th October 2024) Hen Day Flower Crown Workshop at the stunning Mythe Barn (Events – One of the Bridesmaids works there and sister Ellie found us through our website to host the Workshop) in Sheepy Magna for the lovely bride-to-be, Sophie.
With the wedding just two weeks away, this intimate gathering was the perfect way to celebrate with family and friends while crafting beautiful flower crowns that added a touch of nature and elegance to the occasion.
A Dreamy Teepee Setup for a Relaxed Hen Day
Organised by Sophie’s sister Ella, who is also a bridesmaid, and their Mum, the day was filled with love, laughter, and creativity. The event took place in a charming teepee at Mythe Barn, a venue known for its picturesque surroundings. The warm, rustic vibe of the teepee was perfect for an afternoon of flower crafting, and the atmosphere was made even more enjoyable with delicious food and drinks served to keep everyone refreshed throughout the day. There were 22 hens and one cockerel – A really fun day!
Crafting Stunning Flower Crowns
The highlight of the day was, of course, the flower crown workshop. Each guest had the opportunity to choose from a stunning array of fresh, seasonal blooms. Together, we crafted beautiful flower crowns, combining vibrant roses, delicate greenery, and playful wildflowers – each crown as unique as the person creating it.
It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, whether they had prior experience or were complete beginners. Sophie’s friends and family embraced the creative process, chatting and laughing as they worked on their floral masterpieces. Each flower crown not only reflected the individual styles of the guests but also became a meaningful keepsake from the day.
A Relaxed Afternoon in the Teepee
After the workshop, everyone had the chance to relax and unwind. The group gathered in the cozy teepee, enjoying delicious food and drinks while admiring their newly created flower crowns. The laid-back atmosphere allowed for some lovely photo opportunities too—Sophie and her bridesmaids looked radiant in their handmade crowns, capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

With Sophie’s wedding just around the corner, this flower crown workshop was the perfect prelude to her big day. It was heartwarming to see her surrounded by the love and support of her closest friends and family, with Ella and their mum organising such a thoughtful and memorable celebration.
