When Arya turned 10, she didn’t just celebrate – she defied gravity with a WICKED flower crown and pizza-making party!
A Magical Night at Shiz University
To celebrate in true Ozian style, our Shiz University Studio was transformed into a floral wonderland, where 12 excited young witches gathered to create their very own flower crowns fit for Glinda herself! But unlike the magic poppies from the Wizard of Oz, these crowns were made from beautiful fresh spring flowers, carefully chosen for their vibrant colours and delicate petals.
We used a stunning mix of blooms, including roses, daisies, gypsophila, and fresh greenery, allowing each guest to craft a unique floral masterpiece. It was wonderful to watch the girls unleash their creativity, selecting flowers in Elphaba’s signature green and Glinda’s perfect pink – because, as we all know, pink goes good with green!
From Blooming Beauties to Pizza-Making Pros!
With flower crowns securely in place, it was time to head downstairs, where the party space had been transformed into a Mini Pizzeria & Ozdust Nightclub! The girls rolled out their own pizza dough, chose from a variety of toppings, and created deliciously unique pizzas to enjoy together.
While their pizzas baked to perfection, the disco lights came on, and the girls took to the dance floor for a Wicked-themed party. With their favourite songs from the musical (and TikTok!) playing, the night was filled with laughter, dancing, and a sprinkle of Glinda’s charm mixed with Elphaba’s rebellious spirit!
And, of course, no Wicked party would be complete without themed sweet treats! Pink and green Elphaba – inspired donuts on the board were a huge hit, paired with magical Emerald City drinks that sparkled under the party lights.
Movie Magic & Midnight Mischief
As the night continued, the girls settled in for a screening of WICKED, all dressed in matching pink and green pyjamas and Glinda-style sleep masks – because even future witches need their beauty sleep! With popcorn in hand, they watched the story of friendship, ambition, and magic unfold – some even whispering along to their favourite lines.
Most of our little witches were asleep by 11:30PM (not bad for a sleepover!), and by 6:30AM, they were up and ready for another adventure – just like Elphaba and Glinda after their “One Short Day” in the Emerald City!
