Did you know that we also do Kid’s Floristry Arranging Parties? Or Private Flower Workshops / and Parties for your group, gathering or occasion?
Here’s some brilliant images from our last Kid’s Party where a class of year 3 girls made a mini living flower door wreath (that could also be used as a table decoration), had a kids style home made afternoon tea and a good gossip!
You’ll see from our pictures that each child had a spacious and dedicated work place, apron, materials and tools. And access to a multitude of seasonal fresh flowers and foliage. They were supervised throughout and we’ve got a large access WC in the studio too. After an initial welcome Stephanie got to work demonstrating how to create the perfect mini flower wreath (flowers could be cut to size and poked into the black circle base provided).
All of the ‘afternoon tea’ style food we provided for the party was home made; complete with sausage rolls, cheese straws and 3 different kind of sandwiches. We also had carrot and cucumber sticks, crisps and cake. Plus who doesn’t look vintage china and a Boomerang video! Food can also be provided in small paper picnic / lunch box style bags.
The wreath that the kids made could also be used as a small table decoration, most notably when a candle is placed in the middle.
As well as great feedback, the girl’s Mum’s said that the wreaths lasted for nearly 2 weeks! This is common of our living wreaths. And don’t they just look a treat?
One little girl made it for her Mum’s Easter table because they had their Nanna coming for Sunday dinner and did what Stephanie said and put a big candle in the middle. Smiles all around!
We had a question on Facebook on what is a minimum age group for the children having / attending the party and how long it lasts… We answered with the following…
This group of lovely girls were 8 years old. And worked really well. So 7 or 8 years old and up would be ideal. The party was / is 2 – 2 1/2 hours long.
