Love stories often have deep roots, and for Sorrell and Dan, those roots were quite literal. Their wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, family, and nature, perfectly complemented by the enchanting Floristry by Stephanie. The unique blend of heavy foliage and exquisite flowers created a magical setting that will be remembered for years to come.

A Harvest of Love

The preparations for the wedding began with a journey through the family farm. Accompanied by Nigel Ryley, the owner of the farm and father of the bride, Stephanie embarked on a foliage hunt. Riding in the Polaris, Nigel shared the heartwarming story of how he planted every tree on the farm over 40 years ago. What began as an effort to landscape and promote wildlife around the fishing pool had now blossomed into a beautiful tapestry for his daughter’s wedding. It’s a touching thought that Nigel’s labour of love has come full circle, providing the lush greenery for Sorrell’s special day.

The foliage selection was a rich mix of Green Oak, Beech, and Silver Birch, creating a verdant backdrop for the event. Friends and family eagerly joined in the preparations, gathering and arranging the foliage under Stephanie’s expert guidance. Their collective effort infused the day with warmth and camaraderie, embodying the spirit of togetherness that the wedding celebrated.

A Floral Dream

Stephanie’s floral creations were nothing short of spectacular. The arrangements featured a stunning array of white and ivory flowers, from hydrangeas to the finest “jet fresh” roses like Playa Blanca and Mia. Sweet-smelling stocks, towering white delphiniums, delicate white lizzies, sweet peas, ranunculus, and many other blooms added layers of texture and fragrance.

Having known the family for many years, Stephanie felt a special connection to this wedding. The Ryley family, renowned for their success in the wreath competition that led them to Number 10 Downing Street three times, was thrilled to have Stephanie’s expertise for Sorrell’s wedding. It was a proud moment for Stephanie to transition from creating Christmas wreaths to wedding flowers for a family she held dear.

Personal Touches and Connections

The wedding was a showcase of personal touches and meaningful details. Sorrell and Dan’s story is intertwined with Stephanie’s own experiences, as Dan was a part of Young Farmers with Stephanie’s husband. Watching Sorrell grow into a beautiful young woman and being entrusted with her wedding flowers was an honor Stephanie cherished deeply.

Every detail of the wedding reflected the couple’s personalities and shared passions. Their custom “S&D” logo was a prominent feature, adorning everything from the dance floor to the cozy green blankets provided for the evening. Both avid shooting enthusiasts, Sorrell and Dan incorporated pheasant feathers into the décor and named the tables after game birds. The wedding breakfast menu, curated by the talented Ryan at Home, also featured game, adding another layer of personal significance.

A Setting Like No Other

The wedding took place in a breathtaking marquee set against the backdrop of the family farm. From the house to the lakes, iron stags dotted around the venue, and the charming courtyard, every element of the setting contributed to the day’s enchantment. Stephanie, who had always admired the beauty of the courtyard, felt that it had never looked as stunning as it did on this special day.

A Heartfelt Thank You

The bride’s heartfelt words were a testament to the magic Stephanie created:

“Steph! I don’t know what to say, the flowers were just incredible! Better than I could have imagined. So so beautiful. I say it every time but you are so very talented and smash it out the park! Thank you!”

Sorrell and Dan’s wedding was a beautiful blend of love, nature, and meticulous attention to detail. From the lush foliage harvested from the family farm to the exquisite floral arrangements and personal touches, every element came together to create a day of unforgettable beauty. Stephanie’s floristry not only enhanced the natural charm of the setting but also celebrated the deep connections and shared history that made this wedding truly special.
